Inspiral Conversations™

AN APPLIED-NEUROSCIENCE APPROACH TO LEADING, MANAGING AND COACHING

This program is for leaders, managers, coaches, or anyone that wants to improve the quality and effectiveness of their conversations. The first part of the program is a 3 day face to face workshop on applying neuroscience based skills to everyday informal conversations. The second part focuses on applying these skills in a formal coaching series the can be used by professional coaches in their practice, or by leaders to create environments that produce higher performing teams.

Number of student contact hours included in program

The first part of the program consists of 24 synchronous hours and 6 asynchronous (self-study) hours:

  • One 90-minute introductory teleclass
  • Three 8-hour face-to-face (F2F) learning experience days
  • Three 90-minute post-F2F teleclasses
  • Six hours of assigned homework, which includes buddy work and self-study

The second part of the program consists of 24 synchronous hours and 16 asynchronous (self-study) hours:

  • Sixteen 90-minute teleclasses
  • Sixteen hours of assigned homework, which includes buddy work and self-study

Learning goals

  1. The Participant will develop a foundation in the basics of neuroscience and understand the implications in coaching conversations.
  2. The Participant will understand and be able to demonstrate a working knowledge in all ICF Core Coaching Competencies.
  3. The Participant will be able to employ a conversational model/process that incorporates the skills of Inspiral™ listening, questioning, and speaking.
  4. The Participant will begin to strengthen two foundational brain functions that support powerful coaching conversations.

Coaching philosophy/model/approach

This program is informed by an applied neuroscience foundation and leverages globally accepted coaching competencies (it is an accredited ICF ACSTH program). It is also based on over a decade of personal and professional experience applying these principles and skills in and out of the workplace.

Language(s) that are used in program delivery

The Inspiral program is delivered in English.

Intended participants

This blended (teleclass plus face-to-face) learning experience is designed for leaders, managers and professional (private, business or workplace/executive) coaches who are interested in improving the quality and effectiveness of their conversations. It will also serve anyone who wishes to improve their conversations skills, especially for the more difficult conversations we all need to have, whether in or out of the workplace.

Requirements students must meet to enter the program

There are no prerequisites for Part 1 of the Program.
Participants must have successfully completed Part 1 to enroll in Part 2.
